  • Responsibilities

    ** Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

    **

    • Perform Receive Inspection, setup Double Check Inspections, In-process Inspection, Final Inspection, Gage Inspection, Initial Sample Inspection Reports and Production Part Approval Process.
    • Review and verification of certification documentation, inspection and testing of parts for compliance to drawings and/or specifications, detailed documentation of results, generation of certificate of compliance, and proper maintenance of records.
    • Generate various quality and process performance reports.
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
    • Facilitate Quality Team Meetings
    • Generate and issue Discrepant Material Reports, including disposition through the Material Review Board Process.
    • Ability to create and audit Quality Systems Documentation.
    • Initiate Correct Actions and perform audits as needed.
    • Maintain Enterprise Resource Planning Software Database with required records and data.
    • Administration of the Calibration Program
    • Review and verification of certification documentation, inspection and testing of parts for compliance to drawings and/or specifications, detailed documentation of results, generation of certificate of compliance, and proper maintenance of records.
    • Generate various quality and process performance reports.
    • Support Company Goals and Objectives.

    ** Education:

    **

    Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of mechanical inspection experience preferred. Experience and knowledge of Acceptance Sampling plans and table usage, visual inspection experience, and ISO 9001:200 and/or TS 16949 experience preferred.

    ** Skills and Abilities:

    **

    • Experience and knowledge of Acceptance Sampling plans and table usage.

    • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, including GD&T.

    • Proficient in the use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no go gages, checking fixtures, height gages, CMM, Optical Comparator, and other mechanical inspection equipment.

    • Visual inspection skills.

    • Ability to gather data for SPC monitoring to analyze results and identify out-of-control conditions, trends and runs.

    • Able to run controlled experiments under direction of Engineering and/or Manufacturing.

    • Ability to discuss technical problems encountered with suppliers, customers, managers, engineering, or purchasing staff.

    • Ability to prioritize inspection workload.

    • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.

    • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.

    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and demanding environment.
