    About the Role:

    The Quality Technician is responsible for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, hard gaging, CMM Operation, and validating inspection data. The Quality Technician will work alongside the quality team to ensure timely and accurate inspection is completed on production parts.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Operate and maintain inspection tooling and equipment.

    2. Perform in-process and final inspections per prescribed instructions to determine conformance to requirements. Reporting nonconforming materials to direct supervisor upon identification. Record inspection results on appropriate forms and input data into applicable ERP/software.

    3. Operate a CMM to obtain accurate quality measurements.

    4. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and other precision measuring instruments.

    5. Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment to ensure accuracy.

    6. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings/prints, specifications, and standards.

    7. Maintain cleanliness and an organized work environment.

    8. Identify and communicate continuous improvement activities with supervisor.

    9. Participate in production team meetings, providing quality support as needed.

    10. Support and complete additional projects and tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

    11. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

    Job Requirements:

    1. Must be a U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not provided for this position.

    2. High school diploma or equivalent required.

    3. 1-3 years of inspection experience using a CMM, calipers, depth gage, and height gage.

    4. Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and be a positive member of the quality team.

    5. Must have strong math, computer, and communication skills (verbal and written).

    6. Proficient with MS Office suite, good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and strong computer skills.

    7. Must have knowledge and experience in use of basic hand tools.

    8. Prior experience reading blueprints.

    9. Strong mechanical aptitude desired.

    10. Knowledge and experience in GD&T concepts are a plus.

    11. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
