Job description:
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing audits, and utilizing precision measuring instruments to maintain the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct shop floor audits to verify process compliance
Inspect incoming metals, record results in computer
Operate optical comparator with high proficiency
Perform FAI (First Article Inspection) data entry & documentation
Prepare SPC charts
Perform visual inspections
Apply basic problem-solving to quality issues
Inspects outsource materials and special processes operations verifying certificate of conformance and visual criteria as a final release.
Utilizes ERP system during manufacturing process (bar code scanning, data entry, etc..)
Maintain a safe and well-organized area using 5S.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficient with optical comparators for dimensional inspection
Strong understanding of shop floor quality control
Experience with incoming metals inspection and documentation
Skilled in FAI data entry and quality reporting
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Familiarity with Keyence vision systems a plus
