  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee and manage a team of approximately 20 personnel, including heavy equipment operators, CDL drivers, mechanics, office/sales staff, and assistants.

    • Direct operations at 3 hard rock quarries, which currently produce about 200,000 tons per year (TPY) combined, in addition to managing significant Green Waste and Concrete Recycling programs.

    • Ensure optimal utilization and productivity of all mobile assets, including mobile jaw and impact crushers, screen plants, loaders, excavators, and blasthole drills, across all operations.

    • Recruit, train, and develop agile, multi-skilled crews capable of traveling between pits to perform all necessary tasks, including clear and grub operations, blasthole drilling, powered haulage, and primary/secondary crushing and screening.

    • Establish and enforce a rigorous maintenance program to ensure all machinery is properly maintained and operational.

    • Manage and refine the Blasting Program, developing and improving patterns and procedures to ensure high-quality rock production and maximize operational value.

    • Act as the key representative and facilitator during all MSHA, ATF, and Air Quality Inspections.

    • Ensure the availability of adequately trained CDL Drivers to meet all operational hauling demands.

    • Maintain a commitment to in-house operational execution; this role requires the ability to manage and perform tasks internally without relying solely on external contractors.

    • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

    • Comprehensive, foundational knowledge of crushing, screening, and material handling equipment.

    • Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.

    • Demonstrated history of self-motivation, diligence, and a collaborative approach to work.

    • Exceptional leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficiency in computer skills, specifically the Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Proven capacity to exercise sound judgment and effectively assist with diverse operational tasks.

    • Prior supervisory experience within the construction aggregate or broader mining industry.
