About the Developmental Content Editor position

We are looking for a skilled Developmental Content Editor to provide quality control for our company's written pieces. You will report to the CEO/senior editor and provide editorial feedback to writers and staff.

A developmental content editor combines the innovativeness of a writer with the practical focus of a business manager. You should be able to read creative briefs and ensure our written pieces adhere to the end client's content strategy. We expect excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as a unique problem-solving ability.

Developmental Content Editor responsibilities are:

• Maintaining creative vision for various clients
• Understanding projects
• Implementing strategies to meet deadlines
• Coordinating feedback with writers
• Resolving writing issues
• Attending occasional meetings and interviews

Developmental Content Editor requirements are:

• Experience as a mid-level or senior editor
• Great knowledge of copywriting, editing, and proofreading
• Familiar with MS Office, SEO, and other text editing applications and formats
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent planning skills
• BA/BS in English, Journalism, or a related field
