Roles & Responsibilities:

• This role includes execution of overall generator and generator component design projects, specifically in the field of CAD/Solid Modeling and related CAE/CAM technologies.
• Develop recommendations for new processes, or design changes to meet customer requirements.
• Prepare and present Design Reviews as required by internal requirements.
• Interface with manufacturing engineers in a global manufacturing network to assure competitive and cost effective designs.
• Create design concept models and layouts using NX and the ability to review and approve more complex models used in design.
• Review and approve manufacturing and customer transmittal drawings.
• Assist in the resolution of manufacturing, installation or operational issues
• Perform structural analysis of stationary components.
• Develop of internal design processes and rules.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MS a plus.
• Structural analysis of stationary components
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent team player to support and serve the global team
• Ability to work independently with clarity on scope and responsibility
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities
