Summary
Quick Tie Products, Inc. is a rapidly growing, Jacksonville, FL based company with departments including engineering & design (including research & development) software & IT, sales & marketing, administration & finance, and manufacturing & warehousing.
We anticipate this role would require 20 hours per week, plus or minus depending on what’s going on (e.g., open enrollment, ebbs and flow of workload). The schedule could be very flexible for an organized person! Example: work two 8-hour days, and two 2-hour days. Or two 9’s and two 1’s….
We would want our HR Specialist to spend 80% of his or her time recruiting, training and retaining top talent, and the remaining 20% on more administrative human resources activities.
Our ideal candidate will be the point person of our company with respect to prospective and new hires, welcoming new employees on-board helping them get to get acclimated. He or she should be skilled in recruiting, employee on-boarding and offboarding, human resource management, benefit administration, compliance and employee relations.
This position will report directly to the President and may assist in additional projects outside of the realm of Human Resources.

What You'll Do:
· With assistance of paid 3rd party recruiting service provider, manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and off-boarding, and develops uniform and consistent documentation and practices.
· Maintains an adequate number of production workers, blending full-time and temporary help as needed.
· Administers payroll and employee benefits (workers compensation, unemployment, PTO, 401k, health plan, etc.)
· Observes and documents processes and procedures, meeting with department SMEs to finalize and then periodically refresh.
· Plans training programs and schedules, and prepare any learning materials needed as needed (outsourced or in-house), and chose appropriate method (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc.)
· Assists department managers and supervisors with respect to performance management program that ensures all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, as well as relevant legal and safety requirements.
· Conducts surveys to judge how training programs are received and if changes are needed.
· Handles employee relation matters including investigation of employee issues and conflicts.
· Ensures all employment practices comply with applicable regulations.
· Maintains company policies and procedures as they relate to human resources including employee handbooks, benefit plans, vacation, safety and job descriptions.
What You'll Need:
· Demonstrated achievement in recruiting with limited reliance on head-hunters.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources.
· Knowledgeable in employee benefit administration and applicable regulatory matters (e.g., COBRA, ACA, FMLA, etc.).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· OSHA knowledge (preferred but not required).
