Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with QuickBooks experience to join our team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure the integrity of our books. You will work closely with management and/or the accounting team to keep financial data organized, up to date, and compliant with applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and confident using QuickBooks to bring accounts through the trial balance stage.
Responsibilities
Record and categorize financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Verify accuracy and completeness of financial data
Maintain general ledger and prepare accounts through trial balance
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with budgeting and basic financial analysis
Prepare financial reports as needed
Support tax preparation by organizing records and completing required forms
Ensure compliance with accounting best practices and internal controls
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
