    Job Description

    SUMMARY Primarily responsible for assisting the Assistant Treasurer with fulfilling his responsibilities including managing various cash management and reporting requirements, the preparation of the financial statements and tax returns of a stand-alone company division, and other strategic initiatives. This position has 3 direct reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Develops annual budget for bank & credit card fees based on key assumptions, trends. Monitors actuals vs. budget variance quarterly. •Reviews monthly bank fees and credit card fees highlighting key items for management to identify potential savings. •Reviews daily bank cash reporting & deposit activity for 22 stores. •Supports retail store personnel with daily receipts/deposits processing & reporting, provides training as necessary. •Assists Accounting team with cash receipt reporting, reconciliation issues. •Reviews unapplied cash items weekly and follows up on significant pending items. •Manages a stand-alone division’s monthly close activities and reviews monthly account reconciliations. Works with the division’s Office Manager responsible for day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. •Manages the division’s annual audit deliverables and provides support as necessary. •Manages all of the division’s tax reporting requirements (quarterly sales tax return, annual business property tax returns, annual tax returns, etc.) •Performs analysis of the division’s financials for Asst. Treasurer & CFO’s review highlighting important metrics and trends. •Manages corporate card process/procedures and adherence to company policies. •Assists Procurement Manager with Quarterly Dashboard preparation highlighting key spend patterns by region as well as other important metrics. •Assists Assistant Treasurer with ad hoc projects, such as policy development. •Works with cross functional partners to streamline processes and resolves issues partnering with internal & external personnel (i.e.banks, credit card processors, other CAT dealers, etc.) •Manages 2 full time and 1 part time staff. Develops and mentors staff as well as performs mid-year and annual reviews. •Maintains and supports a safe work environment.
