    • 1-2 yrs $32.00 - $37.00 per hr.
    • 3-4 yrs $39.00 - $44.50 per hr.
    • 5+yrs $49.00 - $60.00 per hr.

    Job Overview:

    The selected Engineer will perform project management and professional engineering work. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the designated supervisor.

    Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 1 year of experience of civil engineering and roadway design
    • Must be registered in Florida as a Professional Engineer
    • Assisting with contract administration for Capital Improvement Projects for major highway improvement projects, bridges, paving sidewalks, etcetera
    • Preparation of scope of work\
    • Consultant selection
    • Contract negotiations
    • Engineering design and construction plan review
    • Preparation of cost estimates
    • Public involvement and preparation of bid documents
    • Assisting with coordination of right-of-way acquisition for roadway and other projects
    • Provide right-of-way engineering support throughout roadway planning, roadway design, land acquisition and eminent domain process
    • Engineering contracts to support appraisal function
    • Assisting in developing cost estimates for
      right-of-way acquisitions

    Experience Preferences:

    • FDOT, or DOT experience

    Physical Requirements:

    • Required to travel up to 40 miles per week to include off-road travel

    • 62.5 cents per mile reimbursement

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
    • Registered in Florida as a Professional Engineer
