Job Description
Qwick is a well-funded and fast-growing startup, and we are looking for a hands on controller to manage all accounting operations of the company. As the controller, you will be hands on with preparing monthly/year-end financial statements, invoicing, accounts receivable/payable and coordinating the provision of information to external auditors.
The controller will be responsible for the following:
Overall review, assessment and upgrading of the Company’s financial and accounting systems to support its future growth and reporting requirements
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the Company and Department's goals and objectives
Working capital management, including, timely invoicing to, and collection of customers invoices
Maintain a system of internal controls over accounting transactions
Ensure compliance with mandated accounting policies and procedures
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
Issue timely and complete financial statements
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
Finance professional with accounting system review and software system upgrades / implementations experience.
Willingness to provide strategic perspectives to Company decisions while also willing to provide hands-on support to accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resources functions
Proficient in MS Office and Google suite of products
Experience with Accounting software (Quickbooks/Xero), additional experience with NetSuite / Intacct would be a plus.
Certified Public Accountant (or working towards certificate)
Understanding of applicable laws and regulations
Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
