    Overview:
    Lead the full product development lifecycle—from concept through commercialization—for capsules, tablets, powders, liquids, soft chews, and gummies. Oversee R&D initiatives to drive innovation, quality, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead formulation and development of new and existing products

    • Conduct benchtop testing and support scale-up for manufacturing

    • Collaborate with marketing, QA, production, and purchasing for product launches

    • Interface with vendors for ingredient specs, pricing, and certifications

    • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, Organic, GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory standards

    • Perform stability testing, shelf-life studies, and sensory evaluations

    • Maintain formulation records, SOPs, and spec sheets in a cGMP-compliant system

    • Stay current on trends, cost-saving strategies, and sustainability opportunities

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and progress updates

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field

    • 5–10 years’ R&D and formulation experience in dietary supplements

    • Expertise in capsules, tablets, gummies, powders, and liquids

    • Strong knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and GMP/HACCP standards

    • Familiar with ingredient sourcing, spec management, and manufacturing processes

    • Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn internal systems

    • Must pass background check and drug screening

    • Pet supplement experience is a plus
