Our client, an product distribution company, is seeking a detail-oriented R&D Manager.
The ideal candidate with expertise in consumer products, will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of hardware and software development projects related to product development, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure all production schedules, milestones, and deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Responsibilities:
- Manage communication with external manufacturing partners, ensuring clarity on project requirements.
- Oversee strict adherence to production schedules, from prototyping to mass production, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate certification, packaging design approvals, and final product inspections to maintain quality standards.
- Lead app development sprints, when applicable, ensuring timelines are followed and cross-functional communication between UX and software teams remains aligned.
- Gather requirements for internal software portals and manage project plans to ensure they meet organizational needs.
- Oversee the project management board, monitoring tasks, budgets, and timelines for all projects.
- Lead and organize daily stand-up meetings to track progress and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Ensure smooth project execution for website development, facilitating effective collaboration between design, development, and marketing teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in R&D project management, with a focus on hardware and software development.
- Must have leadership experience, managing minimum a team of 10.
- Familiarity with factory communication, sprint management, and website development is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for effective cross-functional team coordination.
- Experience managing both internal teams and offshore teams to ensure timely deliverables.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset, focused on driving high-quality project outcomes.
- Results-driven with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
