Our client is seeking a R&D Scientist to support and lead research projects focused on advancing their ingredient portfolio. This role includes designing studies, generating scientific data, and contributing to publications and overall scientific strategy .This position is ideal for a detail-oriented scientist with a strong research background, excellent writing skills, and industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where science drives commercial strategy.

**This is a hybrid position based out of Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and manage preclinical and clinical studies for new and existing ingredients.
• Draft and finalize scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
• Analyze and interpret complex data, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate new scientific concepts and technologies for the innovation pipeline.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, regulatory, and external research partners.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Prepare scientific content for marketing materials, sales collateral, and presentations.
• Stay current on scientific literature and industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (nutrition, food science, biochemistry, or related) with at least 3 years of industry experience, or a recent Ph.D.
• Experience designing and managing scientific studies.
• Strong scientific writing skills, including manuscript development for peer-reviewed publications.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of and interest in natural products, dietary supplements, and functional foods.

Compensation: $90,000-100,000 plus full benefits!
