A leading contract manufacturer in the dietary supplements industry is seeking an R&D Technical Transfer Scientist to drive the successful scale-up of formulations from pilot lab to full commercial production. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Technical Services, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless product transfers and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical transfer of formulations from pilot scale to GMP-compliant commercial production.

• Partner with R&D formulation scientists and technical operations to optimize blends for scale-up and improve production efficiency.

• Design, conduct, and document formulation experiments to ensure commercial viability.

• Provide guidance on processability concerns during early-stage product quoting and development.

• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (pilot trials, commercial runs, batch records, testing protocols).

• Support raw material qualification and troubleshooting, including collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Present technical findings to leadership, business development, and client management teams.

• Serve as a technical reviewer for formulas, specifications, and production documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in formulation development within the dietary supplements sector (capsules, tablets, and powders preferred).

• Strong working knowledge of product/process development and commercial scale-up.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Ability to analyze data and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced GMP environment.
