    A Houston-based marketing agency is looking for a Marketing Account Specialist. Reporting to the CEO and Chief Marketing Strategist, the Marketing Account Specialist is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and maintaining all projects, tasks, and deliverables for assigned accounts.

    The Marketing Account Specialist needs to be proactive in keeping leadership informed of all marketing activities and deadlines relating to assigned accounts. The Marketing Account Specialist should be self-motivated, results-driven, and able to foster positive client relationships that produce continuous results and profitability. You’ll be the glue that holds the relationship in place.

    This will begin as an on-site position. Some remote is possible after the first 2 to 3 months based on performance. Sorry, our client will not relocate or sponsor someone for this position.

    Responsibilities

    • Day-to-day account relationship management and liaison between agency and assigned customer accounts
    • Coordinate customer marketing projects and activities for assigned customer accounts; prepare weekly and monthly account status updates and reports for assigned accounts to present during team status update meetings
    • Manage the status, completion of tasks, and project deliverables using Workzone Translate campaign results into graphs, maps, charts, (Excel) and professional slides (PowerPoint) to share with account point of contact
    • Project Management Software (Workzone tutorials are available)
    • Attend data analysis meetings; interpret next steps, tasks, and deliverables; add to Workzone and update customer account point of contact through regularly scheduled status update calls/video
    • Serve as the daily point-person to coordinate and track account-specific marketing campaigns and deliverables
    • Collaborate with team members to identify and grow opportunities with customers
    • Act as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders to communicate the progress of work and defined success, as well as facilitate requests from each party
    • Maintain successful agency/client partnership through every interaction and communication with account point of contact.
    • Assemble, format, and deliver reports on marketing performance for assigned accounts
    • Conduct regular status calls/video to account point of contact
    • Copy edit and proofread digital content as needed
    • Monitor outbound email marketing campaigns in the agency’s marketing automation platform, SharpSpring; ensuring results and status updates are made regularly to account point of contact
    • Organize, format, and assemble marketing strategy pitches/proposals for new accounts and/or assign accounts

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a similar field
    • 4+ years’ experience in a marketing role within a marketing agency focused on accounts (marketing consultancy and/or corporate marketing team experience will be considered)
    • Proficient in MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project Management software and Email Marketing software is a must have
    • Able to answer marketing specific questions when a client asks for additional clarification
    • Determined, results-driven professional with a reputation for being able to coordinate and manage competing tasks and deliverables in deadline-pressure situations.
    • Strong commitment to learning the agency’s client business, marketing needs, goals and industry
    • Efficient with time-management skills – committed to meeting deadlines and following through
