Position Summary:

Wonderful Orchards is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team at our Shafter, CA accounting department. This position will help in performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient processing and maintenance of accounts payable transactions.

** Responsibilities** include but are not limited to the following :

• Responsible for processing and entering 300-500 invoices per week.
• Prepare and process checks and ACH payments for multi-companies.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Ability to process and follow-up on urgent items.
• Work with Purchasing/Warehouse departments to resolve purchase order and receiving document discrepancies.
• Maintains historical records by scanning invoices while processing them.
• Preserve vendor relationships while responding to inquiries.

Qualifications

Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

• 2 years accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
• A team player, flexible, consistent, reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word
• Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Oracle strongly preferred.
• Pay Range: $22/hr. - $26/hr. and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
