    RAINN is looking for a finance manager to lead a small team to ensure accurate tracking of finances, compliance with government and funder requirements, and making business decisions that are supported by good data. They are looking for someone who is great with numbers, skilled at using technology, careful with money, and experienced with managing finance operations for a complex, growing organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage A/R, A/P, revenue records and other daily finance needs using QuickBooks.
    • Work with our Development team to track, record, deposit, reconcile and report on all revenue.
    • Prepare and make G/L entries.
    • Manage financial compliance with Justice Department and foundation grants and client contracts.
    • Closely track grant and contract expenses, ensuring that all spending is charged to the right place and meets all funder requirements.
    • Manage vendor that handles state fundraising registrations and ensure our filings are complete and timely.
    • Lead preparation for our annual audit.
    • Set up and manage systems and policies to make our finance work as efficient as possible.
    • Evaluate accounting software options and manage transition to new system; ensure that proper internal controls are in place.
    • Work with senior leadership to ensure that we’re making sound business decisions that are based on good data.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Five or more years of finance experience.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting (CPA not required).
    • Experience with accounting software systems.
    • Experience managing budget tracking for multiple projects.
    • Discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
