    Position Summary

    RAM Windows is an exciting and rapidly growing manufacturer of residential and commercial windows and doors. RAM is in search of an energetic and enthusiastic, degreed engineer to own the handoff of new product designs between design engineering and the manufacturing floor. Additionally, this individual would ensure continuous compliance for quality specifications, monitor change management on all products, and assist with the setup and initial programming of manufacturing equipment. This position will support the manufacturing team and design engineering team by working as the liaison between departments, ultimately being the on-floor product expert. Additional responsibilities may include the development of processes to improve assembly and/or quality. This position will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

    _ Compensation:_ $75,000-$95,000 DOE

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Leads floor implementation of new or updated products, including the assembly of sample units, documentation of manufacturing processes, and training of floor personnel.
    • Ensures all processes are documented and that initial training is complete before launch.
    • The Product Integrity Engineer will be the product expert onsite for all new launches.
    • Work with Manufacturing Engineer Manger to ensure all new capital equipment is prepared for the products.
    • Perform ongoing audit/review of current products. Ensure materials match BOM and processes match drawings.
    • Monitor document library to ensure approvals are up to date and correct documentation is being used in manufacturing.
    • Work with Design Engineering group to ensure feedback and open communications are ongoing.
    • Liaison with Manufacturing team to develop and then implement changes to manufacturing processes based on information gathered through observation and engagement.
    • Develops with QA initial product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
    • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
    • Maintains product and process database by ensuring initial SOPs are written before product launch.

    Education, Experience, and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field preferred.
    • 3-5 years in a Manufacturing environment working directly with front line supervisors and hourly employees.
    • Good understanding of CI Methodologies
    • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
    • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Analytical, Organized and Self-disciplined is a must
    • Project Time-Management skills and results-driven
    • Willing to work on the production floor with the Production team
    • Able to work extended hours when demand dictates to complete projects on time and under budget
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
    • Prior window/door experience is a plus

    Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

    • Work in an enclosed, indoor manufacturing/machine shop environment; exposed to dust, heat, humidity, and cold weather conditions dependent on local weather conditions. Required to work in areas that are near moving mechanical parts.
    • Physical stamina and dexterity including the ability to regularly stand and walk up to 8-10 hours a day, bend, stoop, kneel, or squat
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently
    • The noise level in the machine shop is considered moderate while operating machinery, equipment, and tools
    • Frequent use of fingers and hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
    • Have hand-eye coordination and are able to work in a physically demanding environment where standing is the norm.
    • Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
    • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when accessing certain manufacturing areas.
