Something New ABA Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable In-Home Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavioral therapy to children in their homes helping them build essential life skills to reach their full potential by using evidence-based techniques. RBT/ Behavior Technicians work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Job Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will:
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes
Implement behavior intervention plans as written
Collect accurate data during sessions
Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality
Communicate regularly with supervisors and caregivers
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to pass background checks
Comfortable with physical activity: standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Experience working with children
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Strong communication and time-management skills
Ability to work independently in home setting
Preferred Qualifications
RBT certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities
