We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect data and track progress on behavioral goals
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent and effective care
- Support individuals in daily living activities (ADLs) as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of sessions and progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical documentation
- Experience in special education or related field is a plus
- Understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
