You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and work closely with our healthcare staff to take patient histories, collect test samples, and help with examinations. Responsibilities: • Document the patient’s vital signs including respiration rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and pulse and write down the information in their chart • Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office • Fill out the appropriate insurance forms and document patient appointments, listing all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions on the patient records • Provide support to healthcare staff during examination by handing the correct supplies and medical instruments to the physician, position the patient, and assisting with other tasks as needed • Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized Qualifications: • Graduated from high school or received GED • Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks • Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency • Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited medical assisting program a supervised externship in a healthcare setting • 1 year of prior experience as in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment Compensation: $17 hourly
