RCS – Document Control Technician

Together, Praxis and RCS are seeking a Document Control Technician to support document management and information flow across major construction programs.
Keep Critical Project Information Accurate, Organized, and Moving
RCS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Technician to support document control operations across large-scale construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all project documentation is processed, tracked, and distributed accurately and efficiently across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Process, track, and manage project documentation using document control systems (e.g., Prolog)
Scan, index, link, and distribute project documents including RFIs, submittals, reports, drawings, and correspondence
Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing systems for all project documentation
Prepare transmittals and ensure timely distribution of documents to project stakeholders
Support Project Managers and Construction Teams with document tracking and coordination
Maintain document logs and ensure compliance with project document control procedures
Coordinate document flow between internal teams and external partners
Create binders, labels, and organized filing systems for contract and project documentation
Support onboarding and training of document control staff as needed
Required Qualifications:
Experience in document control, data management, or project administration
Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, preferably in public-sector or aviation environments
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple document workflows with strict deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional project teams
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Adobe Acrobat (required)
Experience with document control systems such as Prolog or Documentum preferred
Familiarity with scanning, OCR tools, and digital document workflows
Education & Certification:
Associate degree or equivalent technical training
Document control certification preferred
Additional Details:
May support both office and field-based construction environments
Must be able to travel between project sites as needed
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
Overtime or flexible shifts may be required based on project needs
