    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Under the direction of the Vice President–Sales, the Sales Representative is responsible for driving top-line profitable sales growth by pursuing and cultivating new leads to create new business development opportunities in target sectors.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

    • Identify and develop list of target clients in target market segments based on “where to play” criteria.
    • Actively pursue business from target clients. Identify, qualify, and connect with prospective clients through cold calling, e-mails, social media, virtual and in-person meetings, and other means. Follow up on leads.
    • Develop and nurture client relationships.
    • Execute sales and marketing programs and policies.
    • Listen intently to the needs of prospective clients and prepare or modify sales presentations to align with those needs.
    • Develop, pitch, and propose solutions. Close sales.
    • Complete or assist in the completion of bid, RFQ, RFP, and proposal packages as needed, emphasizing RCS unique differentiators.
    • Collaborate on matters of mutual concern with team members in Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, etc.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of customer contacts and sales activity and results, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly metrics.
    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
    • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
    • Attend trade show, meet with customers.
    • Lead and direct efforts to increase the organization’s visibility and elevate brand recognition with effective marketing and communications plans.
    • Other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY YOU WILL NEED:

    • Knowledge of retail store display fixture industry required, including knowledge of fixture materials, manufacturing methods, competitors, industry characteristics, retailers, decision makers, buying habits, procurement process, etc.

    • Ability to read situations, think quickly, and adapt methods and messages diplomatically.
    • Ability to successfully manage numerous projects and events with differing and often competing deadlines.

    • Proven ability to prospect and close new business.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment where independence and determination are standard
    • Travel throughout the United States required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    · Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience

    · Minimum seven years successful sales experience in retail store display fixture industry
