RDI Technology Partners is an engineering and technology search firm. We are conducting an EXTREMELY high-priority search for an experienced Lead Cloud/DevOps Data Engineer. Experience with Python, SQL, microservices such as FastAPI, Flask, or others is required. Experience with server deployment tools including AWS/Kubernetes/Docker/RDS SQL is a huge plus.

In joining our established, highly profitable, small (300 people), publicly-traded client, you will work closely with the Director of Data, as well as with other members of the data team to deploy predictive models as services, build our machine learning infrastructure, and maintain and improve data / feature pipelines. Your time will be spent creating infrastructure as code and creating tooling to support the work of analysts and data scientists on the team, so that other team members can write and maintain their own models / data integrations.

This role will be hiring/growing its own team of data engineers, as well as be responsible for the architecture, design and development of the platform that enables very bright machine learning data scientists and data analysts success.

You will:

· Develop/support software architecture that automates the ingestion of data from production and other external services into the data lake (S3) and data warehouse (Snowflake).

· Lead the team (hands-on)

· Set up backend services in Python/SQL that support predictive ML models and third party integrations

· Set up tooling and abstraction patterns for orchestrating ETLs (Airflow, DBT) and other batch jobs that move data to or from the data-warehouse.

The technology stack includes Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, SNS, CloudFront, EMR, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.
