    • Position Summary
      • The Family or Internal Medicine Physician provides patient care services by independently and interdependently scheduling, supervising, and/or conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; independently participate in the delivery of direct patient care within the scope of authority granted by the Louisiana State Board of Medicine protocols and standards.
    • Minimum Qualifications
      • Education
        • -Must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree with a concentration in the respective specialty from an accredited college or university.
        • -Board eligible or certified in a primary care specialty preferred.
        • -Current CPR certification
      • Experience
        • Current Louisiana Medical license and knowledge of scope of practice.
      • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    1. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and MS Office.
    2. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    3. Calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions.
    4. High level of ethics in maintaining patient confidentiality.
    5. Excellent analytical skills to assess and evaluate patient needs and develop and implement a care plan.
      • Physical and Mental Requirements
        1. Stands, sits, and walks most of the day.
        2. Reads gauges, digital read outs, graphs and educational material, and patient charts in English (Visual acuity)
        3. Exerts up to 20 pounds of force frequently including pushing, pulling, and/or reaching for objects.
        4. Ability to move to exam rooms and workspaces.
        5. Operates office and medical equipment.
        6. OSHA Category I: Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue.
        7. Potential exposure to chemical hazards.
        8. Ability to adapt well to change. Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously.
        9. Maintains professional composure in stressful or emergency situations. Deals with and/or solves stressful situations.
