    Job Description:
    The Physician will meet, assess and diagnose patients in our clinic and provide them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. They will be responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues, and/or promote a healthier lifestyle. They collaborate and support team members to ensure a patient-focused approach to care.

    As part of the Essential Functions for this role, the Physician:

    Works with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for patients
    Orders laboratory and radiology tests and refers patients to specialists when appropriate
    Analyzes reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options
    Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
    Discusses potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensures that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment
    Provides advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing
    Adheres to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards
    Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws
    Records complete, thorough and timely medical records
    Supervises and provides clinical supervision to medical staff, including regular performance appraisals and feedback to staff
    Monitors Association clinics throughout Western New York (Requires occasional travel)
    Qualified Candidate will be licensed physician registered with the New York State Education Department, board certified in a medical specialty, with two (2) years of experience in an active medical practice with proven administrative/supervisory responsibilities. Experience serving specialty populations, including transgendered patients, preferred. Sensitivity toward cultural diversity, HIV/AIDS and lifestyle and addiction issues essential.

    We are willing to consider new grads, but willing to offer a sign on bonus and relocation assistance based on experience.

    Base Salary range is 200-220K. Full-Time, Permanent, Employed position, joining other providers. We offer full benefits package including three (3) options of medical coverage, with an average of 75% of the premium costs covered. There are also Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account options available. Vision and Dental are covered 100%. Employees become eligible to sign up benefits after 30 days of employment.
