    Patient blood management (PBM) is a patient-centered, systematic, evidence-based approach to improve patient outcomes by managing and preserving the patient's own blood, while promoting patient safety and empowerment. Patient blood management focuses on anemia management, multidisciplinary blood conservation, optimization of hemostasis/coagulation and patient centered care.

    As an APN or PA, the PBM Navigator provides direct patient care as member of the Department of Medicine, with a focus on PBM. Navigator is responsible for inpatient/outpatient coordination and education as it relates to PBM, and serves as clinical resource for the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Department, along with providing administrative oversight of the development and maintenance of applicable policies, procedures, and protocols.

    Department: Department of Medicine
    Shift: Days | 4 or 5 days a week
    Hours: Flexible start/end times

    Education Requirements:

    • Master's Degree required

    License/Certification/Registry:

    • NJ APN License
    • NJ PA License
    • NJ CDS & DEA Registration
    • Experience with/knowledge of patient blood management preferred or self-motivated learner
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Bilingual ability preferred
    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Current Driver License required and access to a vehicle
