Job Description

Billing/Settlement Clerk is responsible for processing daily billing and driver settlements. Providing excellent customer service to RED Trucking customers and drivers. This position reports to the billing Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process accurate billing and driver settlements timely.

Enter data accurately in company systems.

Match tariffs to orders in company systems.

Apply proper revenue recognition, validating all charges on invoices.

Apply proper settlement recognition, validating all settlement pay.

Split routing for driver settlement pays.

Upload documents to company billing systems and review documents for accuracy.

Audit information provided by ops and customer service.

Alert customers when additional charges will be taking place.

Request updated rate confirmations from customers or carriers and compare to invoices for accuracy.

Respond to customer questions or complaints regarding invoices.

Work with billing manager and rating team to resolve discrepancies for billing or settlements.

Send settlement documents to drivers.

Deliver outstanding customer service to both customers and carriers.

Prepare daily reports related to billing and settlements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

Perform excellent written and verbal communication skills with management, employees, customers, or carriers.

Be able to work independently and as a team player.

Ability to work on multiple projects and work on a tight time frame.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Be able to pay attention to details for accuracy.

Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.

Detail-oriented and comfortable learning and working in multiple software systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma – College Preferred, but not required.

Previous experience in Logistics import/export billing preferred, but not required.

Profit Tools and TMW System experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
