Guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Process payment transactions accurately at Pay Gate.

Essential Functions

Security

· Performs security patrols.

· Protects from theft, fire, and accidents.

· Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.

· Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people on the property.

· Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.

· Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.

· Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, and other security-related situations.

· Assists customers, employees, and visitors following the department’s procedures.

· Warn people of rule infractions or violations.

· Escort or evict violators of company procedures from premises.

· Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

Pay Gate

· Ring up sales and accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.

· Provide customers with receipts and ensure proper documentation of transactions.

· Count and verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift.

· Maintain accuracy in handling cash and adhere to established procedures for cash management.

· Daily end-of-shift cash settlement.

· Keep the cashier area clean and organized.

· Restock bags, receipt paper, and other supplies as needed.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing regularly. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over seventy-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently patrols outside in extreme weather conditions. The position is also required to patrol the warehouse and will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration—exposure to a combination of normal office, outdoor, and warehouse environments.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work vary depending on the assigned shift.

Required Education and Experience

· Previous experience in a cashier or retail position is preferred. · Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail. · Excellent surveillance and observation skills · Ability to handle transactions accurately in a fast-paced environment. · Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems. · High School Diploma
