PRODUCT MANAGER/OWNER

We are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for platform planning and execution throughout the lifecycle of the product including gathering and prioritizing product and business requirements, defining the product strategy / roadmap, and working closely with executives, engineering, and customers to ensure timely and effective product development releases and launches. The Product Manager will collaborate with the development team to ensure common development, determine needed technical changes, and to weigh in on the elimination of technical debt.

Our Product Manager will be able to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions as well as come up for practical ideas for dealing with them. This will be a task-focused position requiring you to have a leadership style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with other stakeholders to define the product and platform strategy, roadmap, and release prioritization
• Collaborate and facilitate quality functional specifications working closely with the team and business partners
• Lead cross functional teams to track status, resolve issues, and coordinate communication during the product development process and maintain strict adherence to common platform development.
• Work closely with engineering to ensure product development is delivered to spec.
• Identify platform and architectural enhancements and leverage in-depth experience of technology to execute initiatives and reduce technical debt.
• Communicate product / platform ideas to the leadership team to ensure an understanding of the functionality, the implications for the business, and the process for leveraging new capabilities.
• Be informed of industry trends developer tools, virtualization, containers, etc.,
• Act as SCRUM/Agile Product Owner for your areas including: proactively building and maintaining well-groomed, estimated and detailed backlog

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in building a strategy & vision for software product development
• Demonstrated success in releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives
• Ability to easily communicate with engineers about various aspects of a SaaS and PaaS system, including API strategy and definition, SSO and other authorization/identity management solutions, integrations, e-commerce, etc.
• 5+ years of software product management experience in a SaaS or PaaS B2B context
• Front-end development and/or UX Experience strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of platforms, integrations, SSO, e-commerce platforms
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
• Technical and Management background - A degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
