    This position is VIRTUAL. The candidate can work remotely but they MUST live within 100 miles of Lexington so that they can come into the organization if necessary for the needs of the program. The onsite work will NOT be regular.

    About the Role:

    Aquila is seeking a Remote UX/UI Developer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations.

    There are a few requirements for the position:

    • Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

    What You'll Do:

     

    Develops application software. Writing and implementing efficient code. Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates, designs and implements interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security and characteristics of overall system. Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. Determining operational practicality. Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections. May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. May develop and conduct unit tests

     


    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop the user experience for generative AI applications.
    • Build responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces for applications using React, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
    • Interface front-end applications with REST APIs.
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of applications to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Generative AI and apply this knowledge to improve the user experience for Generative AI applications.
    • Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain portfolio-related documentation, guidelines, and best practices.

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 1 years Working within an Agile development framework
    • 1 years Familiarity with commercially available Generative AI solutions and platforms
    • 1 years Understanding of Generative AI technology

    • 5 years developing front-ends for applications in React
    • 5 years Customizing Bootstrap using Sass

    • 5 years Styling front-ends for applications using Bootstrap
    Nice to Have:
    • Experience with Apache Solr and creating data pipelines for search products
    • Designing applications that leverage Generative AI technology
    • Integrating Generative AI with existing systems and applications
    • Containerization (Docker, podman, etc.)
    • Experience with AWS and Azure platforms including AI-specific services (Azure OpenAI & AWS Bedrock)

    Location: REMOTE - This position is VIRTUAL. The candidate can work remotely but they MUST live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA so that they can come into the Lab if necessary for the needs of the program. The onsite work will NOT be regular.

    Clearance: An interim clearance is sufficient for the start of this position.
