We are seeking an experienced, self motivated, Senior Environmental Project Manager/Scientist to lead our Environmental/Coastal Marine Project Management team. The successful candidate is responsible for the delivery of technically sound products that meet customers’ expectations, on time and on/under budget. The successful candidate must be able to perform Project Management, Environmental Scientist and similar duties as required.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:As a senior member of REMSA, Inc., the individual filling this position must be a self-starter and require very little supervision. This position will focus heavily on multiple Environmental/Coastal Marine projects, developing policies and business opportunities that assist in following regulations geared to improve our client's practices. Strategic thinking is a must, and strong skills in the following four components of the job are required and not limited to: Strategic Planning – Development of strategic plan for growth and development of environmental services is an important part of the responsibility of the position. With other senior members of the team, this position will be charged with developing and implementing a strategy for careful expansion of the practice considering services provided, customers served, and target geographies. It is expected these task will occupy approximately 10% of the available time, but is perhaps the most important part of the time allocation as it provides the backbone of everything else. Business Development – Second is the development of a steady stream of business to support not only your own billability but that of the rest of the team. Within the strategy set by the team, this position is envisioned to develop customer-specific tactical business development plans, attract customers, lead sales calls, develop and lead capture of work, lead/develop proposals (including development of approach, staffing and pricing), and play a major role in successfully winning the work. It is expected that this task will occupy approximately 30% of the available time, although it may be much higher in the first year. Senior Project Management – It is not the intention of this individual over the long haul to do day-to-day project management, although initially, consistent with the strategy developed, this may be needed. Rather, it is the intention of this position to provide periodic monitoring of projects, coaching and mentoring of project managers and other staff, assistance with problem resolution including direct intervention, and periodic support to projects with direct effort during critical periods in the project. This position is ultimately responsible for the financial performance of projects directly managed and for those under their oversight. It is expected that this task will occupy approximately 30% of the available time, but will vary significantly depending on project requirements. Participate in the Company & Divisions’ Growth –REMSA, Inc. is an aggressive leader in the Environmental Industry with a clear vision about how we want to continue growth. As a member of the Leadership Team, this position will be expected to help with project tasks, recruiting (including your own staff as well as other key technical resources), acquisition target identification, partnering relationships, day-to-day work related operation, and advice and guidance for the direction of the Environmental and Coastal Marine Division. It is expected that this will occupy approximately 30% of the available time initially, but it is expected that this fraction will be reduced as the strategic plan is implemented. The above job duties are general and intended to be guidelines, as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the position to fit their particular skills and strengths provided that doing so is within our strategic objective. Additionally, percentages of available time are likewise general for the same reasons. At REMSA, Inc. you will be in an environment to take charge of your own career success. In addition to challenging and meaningful work, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on the environment, participate in a range of diverse and unique initiatives, and find the support, coaching, and training it takes to advance your career.
