POSITION SUMMARY: A Purchasing Assistant is responsible for supporting business operations by ordering products or materials that agree with their employer’s brand. Their duties include sending, reviewing and tracking, POs with Suppliers, Vendors or Wholesalers, placing orders for products based on project needs and coordinating delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Experience working with others Team Player Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel Basic understanding of terms, nomenclature and business models used in the construction industry Ability to be accurate, precise and follow set procedures and standards Excellent collaboration and written, verbal and electronic communication skills Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization and with clients, subcontractors, and supplier
