COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL SOLAR PV PROJECT BUYER COORDINATOR

  RENEWABLE ENERGY PARTNERS INC. CORONA, CA.

REP is looking to add a Project Buyer to our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the direct purchasing of materials necessary to complete operational projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

· Lite Project Management Duties

· issue purchase orders, check availability of project materials, decreasing material lead times to site, and decreasing material costs

· review, analyze and monitor assigned supplier capabilities, quotes, bids and performance

· perform basic solar pv and related material take-offs from drawings for BOM

· participate on Project and Strategic Sourcing Teams

· update Equipment Forecasts to share with Suppliers

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Construction industry procurement: 3-5 years (Preferred)

· vendor relations and negotiations: 1-5 years (Preferred)

· working with a purchasing system: 1-3 years (Preferred)

· purchasing of electrical gear and material: 1-3 years (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience working with others
• Team Player
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel
• Basic ability to read and interpret engineering and technical documents, data sheets, SLD,
• Basic understanding of terms, nomenclature and business models used in the construction industry
• Ability to be accurate, precise and follow set procedures and standards
• Excellent collaboration and written, verbal and electronic communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization and with clients, subcontractors, and supplier
