    About the Company:

    Downtown Management is a long-established private real estate development and investment firm that owns and manages its entire portfolio in-house. The company is based in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles and maintains a diverse mix of market rate, residential apartments, retail spaces, and commercial properties.

    We currently have an immediate opening for a Residential Leasing/property management Assistant to support approximately 300 apartments across three residential high-rise buildings.

    1. Marketing & Listings

    · Update apartment listings regularly based on current availability.

    · Monitor comparable properties to ensure pricing remains competitive in the market.

    · Advertise vacancies across all online platforms and keep marketing content accurate, appealing, and up to date.

    · Track listing performance and adjust photos, descriptions, or pricing recommendations as needed.

    1. Leasing & Prospect Engagement

    · Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone and email.

    · Greet prospective residents and schedule property tours.

    · Show units and highlight property amenities, building features, and neighborhood benefits.

    · Collect rental applications and required documents; process credit/background checks.

    · Prepare leases, coordinate lease signings, and collect application fees, deposits, and move-in funds.

    · Follow up with prospects, maintain an active lead pipeline, and convert leads into leases through strong sales and customer service skills.

    1. Move-In & Move-Out Coordination

    · Conduct move-in inspections, ensuring units are prepared and meet quality standards.

    · Conduct move-out inspections, documenting any damages or charges.

    · Coordinate move-in/move-out timelines between leasing, tenants, and maintenance coordinating staff.

    1. Tenant Relations & Customer Service

    · Provide high-level customer service to both prospects and current residents.

    · Assist with tenant communication regarding renewals, rent increases, notices, and general inquiries.

    · Support the Property Manager in resolving tenant concerns and enforcing community policies.

    1. Property Management Support

    · Assist Property Manager with day-to-day building operations across multiple properties.

    · Work as a collaborative team member with maintenance, helping schedule repairs and follow up on work orders.

    · Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.

    · Assist with occupancy reporting, and rent tracking.

    1. Administrative Duties

    · Maintain organized digital and physical leasing files, paperwork, and office records.

    · Perform general office responsibilities: phones, scanning, mail, scheduling, data entry.

    · Support other departments as needed to keep building operations running smoothly.

    Ideal Candidate:

    High school diploma required; college degree a plus.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi experience is a plus.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong time-management, follow-up skills, and problem-solving abilities.

    Excellent customer service and ability to work in a small team environment.
