    Position Summary: The Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic testing and procedures to assess and monitor respiratory and neurological conditions. The specialist collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure accurate results and provide optimal patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Respiratory Diagnostics

    Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including spirometry, lung volume measurements, and diffusion capacity tests.

    Administer and monitor bronchodilator responsiveness tests.

    Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis.

    Assist in sleep studies and provide support for polysomnography procedures.

    Neuro Diagnostics

    Conduct electroencephalography (EEG) to assess brain activity.

    Perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) tests.

    Assist with evoked potential studies (visual, auditory, and somatosensory).

    Monitor and document long-term epilepsy or seizure studies.

    General Duties

    Prepare and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and clinical guidelines.

    Ensure proper patient preparation, including obtaining medical history and explaining procedures.

    Document and interpret test results, providing preliminary findings to healthcare providers.

    Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

    Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education to maintain certifications and competencies.

    Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
