    Job Description

    ADULT SPORTS COACH with REVOLUTIONARY SPORTS Minneapolis, MN and Twin City Metro COMPENSATION RANGE- $15 - $25/hr, depending on prior experience and qualifications

    Revolutionary Sports (RevSports) is the Twin Cities leader in teaching kids and adults how to play a sport. Over 75 coaches annually lead more than 4000 classes, camps, leagues, and small group training sessions. The RevSports approach is to teach age-appropriate technical and tactical aspects of the sport through instructional warm-ups, fun game-like activities and always end playing a small-sided game.

    Revolutionary Sports is looking for enthusiastic, patient, and articulate coaches who want to make learning sports EDUCATIONAL AND FUN for kids and adults! RevSports has been an industry leader in high-quality coaching since 2001, and we need coaches who want to make an immediate, positive impact on participants! Using RevSports core curriculum, coaches teach progressive and age-appropriate skills in a positive and fun environment.

    When participants enjoy and learn from an instructor, they continue to sign-up and follow that instructor. We are looking for more great instructors that are looking to build relationships that encourage players to grow in their interest for sports.

    JOB SUMMARY

    • 60 day minimum commitment, running multiple back-to-back sessions.
    • Opportunity to change availability after 90 days.
    • Year round coaching opportunities for coaches willing to coach multiple sports and ability to coach in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs.
    • Most evening shifts are typically 2.5-3.5 hours in length.
    • Programs are offered in partnership with park and rec centers, schools, and other organizations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Learn and apply RevSports core curriculum and approach to working with participants.
    • Manage a group of 8-16+ participants in a group setting with variable levels.
    • Effectively communicate with participants, rec center personnel and immediate supervisor.
    • Complete attendance shift reports after each shift in a timely and accurate fashion.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong, creative, communicator and patient working with people all ages and abilities.
    • Professional approach to job with consistent punctuality and performance.
    • Ability to clearly communicate and demonstrate sports skills.
    • Ability to work with, learn from, and assist other coaches in becoming a better instructor.
    • Knowledge of sports and ability to recognize appropriate technical/tactical aspects of the sport to make helpful coaching points.
    • Playing sport at a high level (high school varsity/college) is not required, but is helpful.
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to coaching commitments in Twin Cities Metro.
