Job Description

RFA ENGINEERING (www.rfamec.com) is looking for a growth oriented candidates that want to join our team at our customer's facility in Cary, NC. As a member of our team, the selected candidates will work with our engineering staff and our customer's staff, whom is John Deere, to support the production of utility vehicles and lawn care equipment.

This is a full time position with a FULL BENEFIT PACKAGE listed below, that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, direct hire by our customer, and additional opportunities within our own organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION​

• Work with a dynamic team of multi-disciplined systems engineers, developers, and architects around the world to deliver software features.
• Utilize Scrum-based project management systems.
• Develop and test embedded software applications to help optimize end-user productivity and job performance, provide precision machine control, and enhance user experience.
• Get first-hand experience operating machinery to test your work.
• Provide technical support to non-software groups including marketing, manufacturing, quality, and supply management organizations.
• Support 16/32 bit controller architecture.
• Assist with electrification of turf equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
• 1-4 years of experience relating to software engineering or control system development
• Experience with simulation and modeling tools, specifically MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with CAN J1939 communication protocol.
• Experience with tools, such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to build business relationships in a team-based culture.
• Any background with farming and/or turf care industries.
• Understanding of Agile methodology and/or experience within an Agile team
• Experience with Rally Agile project management tool.
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools and automated testing
• Understanding of Product Delivery Process
• Practical experience applying closed loop control theory
• Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems is desired, but not required.
