TITLE: 2020-4026 : LEAD UX/UI DESIGNER:

JOB SUMMARY:

• The Lead UI/UX Designer is responsible for a holistic vision of Client's User Experience and User Interfaces.
• This includes research and benchmarking as well as design and implementation for Infotainment and connected vehicle systems in order to establish Client as a world leader in digital User experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create a world class vision for the ongoing pursuit at Client to be a digital User Experience leader.
• Create outstanding visual concepts that are balanced, consistent, and intuitive interfaces within the overall design system and utilize common design patterns and components
• Translate design ideas and concepts into clear user flows and wireframes
• Develop look and feel of UI and ensure consistent design aesthetic and functionality throughout the application
• Support R&D advanced concepts
• Participate in user research and translate observations into improved UI
• Maintain deep knowledge of industry UI trends and best practices
• Rapid prototyping and creation of user interfaces for luxury hybrid and electric vehicles using a variety of industry-standard 2D/3D tools and graphics engines
• Test, debug, and optimize UI/UX software, monitor performance
• Own technical solutions through artistic design, development, testing, peer review, and documentation
• Maintain high standards of software quality by following industry best practices
• Collaborate with internal cross functional teams, end users, and third-party contacts to design, develop, document, and maintain software deliverables for various projects
• Establish and lead positive working relationships with technical, testing, and hardware team members across the technology organization
• Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Design or equivalent; Master's Degree is preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in UI/UX design infotainment, games, or lifestyle applications
• At least 25% of career time working in the automotive design sector. Including proven samples within the Portfolio.
• Expert-level skills in all aspects of the design process, from user research through to user testing
• Outstanding visual design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating clean, compelling, modern design
• Experience with Kanzi Studio or similar 3D tools (Unity3D, UDK, Unreal, etc.)
• Experience with 3D optimization techniques
• Modeling / UV experience with a 3D package such as Maya, 3DS Max, Softimage, Blender, etc.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable
