    RH2 is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist in our Bothell, WA location. This role desires a detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative team member who will provide exceptional client service, can manage a diverse workload, and produce accurate deliverables.     Responsibilities Include:

    • Prepare environmental permit applications and various technical discipline reports.
    • Perform field work, including wetland/stream delineations, classification and survey of sensitive areas, water quality and environmental monitoring, etc.
    • Assist engineering design teams with preparation of permit-compliant design plans.
    • Assist with marketing and scoping efforts representing RH2's environmental discipline.
    • Interface with clients, project managers, agency staff, and coworkers. Prompt and professional communications with team.
    • Coordinate and manage project workload and schedules.
    • Understand / interpret municipal codes, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to work tasks.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, consulting environment preferred
    • B.S. or B.A. in environmental discipline (e.g., environmental science, environmental planning, natural resources, aquatic ecology, fisheries management, wildlife biology, or similar discipline).
    • Familiarity and experience with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and processes.
    • Prior education/experience with one or more of the following disciplines is desired: wetland and stream ecology and delineations, soil science, PNW native plant identification, ESA, EFH, habitat characterization, mitigation monitoring, environmental data collection, technical report writing, and environmental permitting.
    • PNW salmonid ecology and fisheries work experience, and/or bird and wildlife identification, ecology, and biological survey training a plus.
    • Familiarity and/or experience with GPS, ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
    • Self-Driven (critical thinker; attention to detail; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; desire to continue improving in professional discipline).
    • Personable (flexibility with workflow; capacity to work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; adaptable team player).

    Compensation

    Individual compensation will vary within a range based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. RH2 values our employees' work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week.
