SOFTWARE ENGINEER / F/S BACK END
We are seeking a Software Engineer to become an integral part of our team! The ideal team member will be responsible for architecting and implementing solutions for new and existing systems.
The candidate must be able to provide at least 40 hours minimum of work per week in a team setting. Remote work is available, but must be available during normal work hours and be able to work onsite 3 days per week in San Fernando, CA. (Fully remote options for exceptional candidates).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a Technical Lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the existing content supply portfolio of applications and services.
- Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the Software stack.
- Determine the root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
- Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
- Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of programming experience.
- Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.
- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.
- Strong knowledge of Firebase/NoSQL data architecture and cloud functions.
- Willing to learn PingPong and Basketball while working with the company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000 - $150,000+, negotiable DOE

This role will have a phone introduction call via video/phone call followed by an in-person interview onsite in San Fernando for a technical interview. We are hiring faster than normal for this role; ideal start date: 1 week from the last interview.
