    RISC-V INTERNATIONAL OVERVIEW

    RISC-V is a free and open ISA enabling a new era of processor innovation through open standard collaboration bringing together hundreds of stakeholders from engineering students to multinationals with shared interest in progressing custom and general microprocessors leveraging open source SoCs, cores, tools, software, and ongoing open development. RISC-V is a fast growth, industry disruptive organization driven by its members around the world and across numerous industries.

    The Linux Foundation supports RISC-V and is looking for a Marketing Manager fully dedicated to supporting the marketing and visibility activities for RISC-V.  The role will report to the RISC-V International Director of Marketing.

    Top candidates will bring experience in marketing programs and hands-on execution, across multiple domains of events, online content cultivation, writing and editing, and social. The primary focus is on content including blog posts, case studies, videos, outbound communications, and social.

    Candidate will be results oriented with experience managing and tracking initiatives within timelines and priorities, come up with new creative ideas and execute on them, and ability to work independently as well as with other staff, agencies, contractors, members, and external stakeholders. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain the Content Calendar for a diverse set of topics that support RISC-V technologies, industry focus, and member news and successes.

    • Manage the RISC-V blog, solicit posts from members and the community, write RISC-V blogs, edit posts, manage approvals, and publish to the website.

    • Add community news to the website and assist with updating web content.

    • Manage the end-user case study program. Create processes for a low-touch program engaging with our members, writing case studies, managing approvals, and publishing to the website.

    • Manage the community spotlight program, working with the team to identify community members to spotlight, write the spotlights, manage approvals, and publish to the website.

    • Plan and manage outbound communications such as newsletters, emails to the various RISC-V lists, event promotions, and announcements

    • Create and manage the event communication plans to ensure awareness and results for submitting to the call-for-papers, sponsorship opportunities, and registration.

    • Develop a plan for video content (something new for us!) that will enhance the content program and educate the RISC-V community. Work with the internal team and community members to record content and work with our outside video vendor for recording at events and producing videos. 

    • Collaborate with outside vendors to do write-ups on survey research

    • Gather marketing metrics monthly on events, event attendance, social, and website. Work with the team to produce the monthly metrics report

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience writing, editing, and content marketing on technical topics

    • Experience and familiarity with Open Source projects, communities, and technologies

    • Ability to organize and project-manage multiple initiatives at once

    • Enthusiasm for the creative process, collaboration, and RISC-V

    • Strong communication, organization, and writing skills

    • Experience in Salesforce, Hubspot, Wordpress, Google Analytics, and Microsoft and Google office tools

    PREFERRED

    • Experience and familiarity with RISC-V and related industry

    • Advanced degree in a Marketing or related field
