    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Business Developer / Sales Arborist. As a sales-focused arborist, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base, increasing revenue, and promoting our professional tree care services. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strong relationships with potential clients, and effectively communicate the value and benefits of our arboricultural solutions.

We have grown into the most educated local tree care company in Utah with the highest number of ISA Certified Arborists.     Job Duties:

    1. Sales and Customer Relationship Management:

    • Conduct site visits to assess tree care needs, provide accurate estimates, and effectively communicate the value and benefits of our services. Educate customers about the needs of their trees.
    • Develop annual tree / plant health care programs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including property managers, landscape architects, general contractors, and property owners.
    • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and nurture long-term relationships.
    • Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of projects and exceptional service delivery.

    2. Business Development:

    • Identify and qualify potential customers within the target market, both commercial and residential.
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
    • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and utilizing online platforms.
    • Renew general tree care and plant health care accounts.

    3. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities within the CRM system.
    • Generate regular reports on sales activities, pipeline growth, and revenue projections.
    • Analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the arboricultural or landscaping industry.
    • Prior experience in the green industry or a related field is preferred.
    • ISA Certification or willingness to work towards becoming certified.
    • A passion for the outdoors.+
    • Regional plant knowledge preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed customer expectations.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and site visits.

    **We offer a base salary plus commission. Total compensation can range from $50,000 - $200,000+ based on annual sales and employee performance.
