Job Description

 Our client, a major membership-based organization, seeks an experienced Reporter / Writer for a 1-year contract position in Washington, DC.  This position will help create high quality content for use on digital platforms and will focus on key issues in the organization’s priority areas including health care, health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid.  Ideal candidates have a demonstrated ability to report, research and write about complex subjects in effective and appealing ways.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in journalism, experience in health care or personal finance reporting a plus.
• Keen interest in subjects of interest to the 50+ population
• Abreast of changing best practices within digital and emerging platforms.
• Ability to explain complex topics
• Passion for accuracy in reporting
