Job Description

RM-MCI,LLC dba Nowlin Mechanical is hiring an HVAC and/or Plumbing Estimator/Project manager that will identify new projects to bid both with local contractors and out of state contractors doing work in New Mexico. HVAC estimator analyzes the scope of a proposed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects to create a detailed estimate of the project’s cost. As an HVAC estimator, you will consider the cost of labor and materials and describe what is needed to put together successful bid proposals. Job duties include hiring subcontractors, getting quotes from suppliers, establishing relationships with customers and vendors, working with Construction specifications and contractst and assisting with other pre-construction duties as needed. The estimator should possess at least 7 years of project estimating and/or project management experience; government project experience a plus.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience in complete take off and bid package proposals for commercial mechanical work

Be detail oriented and organized

Have excellent written and oral communication skills

Familiarity with estimating software a big plus

Have an excellent understanding of spreadsheets

Be able to read and understand construction documents and contracts.
