The RN Director of Quality and Risk Control is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality and risk programs within a healthcare facility. Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Expertise: Providing leadership and expertise to ensure safe, high-quality patient care services.
Quality Improvement: Implementing quality improvement operating procedures, related assessments, and following the QI Plan as approved by the governing body.
Data Analysis: Analyzing data collected on adverse events, near misses, and potentially unsafe conditions to facilitate system improvements.
Patient Safety: Facilitating and ensuring the implementation of patient safety initiatives, focusing on provider and staff educational programs.
Risk Management: Preventing and minimizing the risk of liability to the organization, protecting the financial, human, and other tangible and intangible assets.
