We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Long-Term Care II clinical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while adhering to all Iowa state regulations and facility protocols.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and execute physician-prescribed plans of care.
- Assessment (RN): Conduct initial and ongoing resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaboration (LPN): Support the RN in documenting the nursing process and implementing resident-specific strategies.
- Leadership: Supervise CNAs and other unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Advocacy: Act as a resident advocate, ensuring rights are respected and family members are kept informed of progress.
Shift Details
Able to work on flexible shift depending on availability ( Morning Shift, Afternoon Shift, Night Shift)
State-Specific Requirements (Iowa)
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA) and Board of Nursing standards:
- Licensure: Must hold a current, valid Iowa Nursing License or a multi-state compact license. (Verification will be conducted via the Iowa Board of Nursing online portal).
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive Iowa SING (Single Contact Repository) Background Check , which includes:
* Criminal History
* Sex Offender Registry
* Child Abuse Registry
* Dependent Adult Abuse Registry
- Mandatory Training: Must provide proof of completion of the Dependent Adult Abuse Training (IA Course DS 168).
- LPN Supervisory Course (LPNs Only): If applying for an LPN role involving supervision, you must have completed an Iowa-approved supervisory course or be willing to complete it within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Geriatrics preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a "resident-first" mindset.
