Job Description
Overview
Lead a specialized cardiovascular service line overseeing pre- and post-procedural cardiac care, including ECHO and stress testing. This role supports a coordinated continuum of care and is ideal for a nurse leader with a strong cardiology or critical care background who excels in operations, team leadership, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of cardiovascular prep, recovery, and diagnostic testing areas
Manage workflows across cardiac observation, ECHO, and stress testing services
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 FTEs
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and evidence-based practices
Manage departmental budgets, productivity, and resource utilization
Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery
Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures
Oversee hiring, onboarding, staff development, and performance management
Serve as a clinical resource and liaison between staff and medical leadership
Monitor productivity and performance metrics.
Support strategic initiatives aligned with hospital objectives.
Develop, implement, and evaluate department policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license (Missouri or Compact State)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in cardiology, ICU, or critical care
Strong background in cardiovascular or procedural patient care
BLS certification
ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in cardiac testing, ECHO, stress lab, or procedural recovery
Proven leadership with strong team development and retention
