Overview
Lead a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit within a comprehensive women’s services program, supporting approximately 300 births per month. This role oversees a dynamic clinical environment including L&D, OR, PACU, and triage services. Ideal for an experienced L&D nurse leader who can drive operational excellence, clinical quality, and team performance in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit, including staffing and patient flow
Lead and supervise RNs, CNAs, and unit support staff across multiple care areas
Ensure high-quality, safe patient care aligned with regulatory and clinical standards
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
Monitor and improve key performance metrics including patient outcomes and satisfaction
Manage departmental resources, productivity, and budget targets
Support staff engagement, education, and leadership development
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license or Compact RN license
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 3+ years of Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting
Leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
Strong leadership experience in high-volume L&D environments
Experience managing complex units with OR and PACU integration
